We're HERE!

Well, we've arrived in Colorado! Tons of stuff and pictures to post and I'll do that as soon as Trey leaves early Thursday morning! Less than three weeks and my handsome husband should be sitting right here on the couch with me. I cannot WAIT!

And.. I promise.. I'll write more and post some pictures ASAP!! :)

What's New...

Okay, well it's been a while since I've updated and even though the past few weeks have been hectic with switching moving companies and all kinds of things, we're officially leaving at 4 AM this Thursday!!!

We'll be leaving so early so that we don't hit Atlanta traffic and will have time to eat dinner and sleep that night while we stay in Missouri. Then, we'll be heading out again Friday morning and going to the Rockies game with my cousin Melissa and her husband Lindsay. Saturday is move in day so it'll be BUSY!!!

I had to switch moving companies because the first one decided to conviniently raise their price $700. I would not recommend American Van Lines, that's for sure. So even though we'll have to do a lot of the packing and unloading ourselves, it will be tons cheaper than that other company. I definitely have my work cut out for me but at least my brother will be there to help.

Matt is in the "Best Warrior Competition" and finds out how he did today. It's been a lot of studying and preparing for him, but I know he's done a great job. I'm so proud of him.

Things are gonna start to be a little hectic, but I like it!

Well... IT'S FINALLY JULY!!

I can't believe it. I thought that it would never come. When I look back at last year and realize just how far away this summer was, I can't believe it's finally here. I'll be moving in THREE... count it... 1-2-3 WEEKS to Colorado. I've already set up the utilities, TV, internet, phone and I'm so ready to be there.

We bought my brothers plane ticket last weekend for him to come back to SC after he rides out there with me and helps me unload everything. We also allowed for a few days so I can show him around!! (of course!)

Next week will be the last week of work for me, so I'm excited to have time off to pack and get everything ready for the move and to squeeze in some more family time.

This weekend, Matt's sister Megan is getting married to her fiance Josh so I'll be at the wedding on Friday night and don't really have any plans the rest of the weekend except for to relax and do a little packing and organizing. I probably need to get a yard sale together too so I can de-clutter and move only what we need.... that would be the productive thing to do....

Other than that, I hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend and make sure you think of our troops and the daily sacrifices they are making to ensure our INDEPENDENCE every day! :)

We're getting anxious....

FIVE more weeks and I'll be moving back out to Colorado! July 22 is our official departure date! My brother is riding out there to help me move some stuff in and get everything situated before Matt comes back!

I'm so ready but I have SO, SO much stuff to accomplish before then!!! Work, school, and everything else is keeping me way too busy!

My birthday is this Sunday on Father's Day so I'm excited for that! :) So ready to have my husband and me in our own place again.. and to have him safe!!

Yay! :) Less than 60 days and I'll be setting up our new home! 

Ah, I'm so ready!!!! (Not that you couldn't tell already!)

Well, the countdown says it all...

... So, I will be moving into our place around the middle/end of July to get everything set up for Matt's return! :) We found a place and while it's a little bit farther out (as far as moving in dates goes) than I had planned, I think that things are going to work out great. I'm so excited to be living with my husband again and I hope that this time FLIES!!!

Colorado bound....

I think I'm going to be headed to Colorado at the end of the month to look at places, try to interview, and check out our storage unit to make sure everything is there! :) The only problem now is trying to see if I can stay with some friends so that I don't have to pay for a hotel for those few days. I'm sure all will work out :-)

I'm so ready to be back out there for good because that will mean that Matt will be home soon!!

What's been going on lately....

Well, the end of the deployment is fastly approaching. Trying to make sure that everything is ready for the move, trying to sell a car (that's in another state, mind you), getting an apartment, getting a job out there, and taking classes this summer are all things that need to happen in the next few months. 

Work and everything else is very stressful, but I know making it through this is all worth it. All the stress will melt away when I finally see him again. *sigh*

I hate the fact that the activity over there is picking up. Please keep Matt and all of the soldiers in your prayers. :)

Time to start up the blog again.

Since my last post (which was... lets just say... too long ago) so much has happened! We are through 7.5 months of this deployment and we have 4.5 more months to go!! YAY!



Work is definitely keeping me busy and I know work over there is keeping him VERY busy with all the recent activity, long guard shifts, not enough sleep, and not enough good food! You wouldn't be able to tell he hasn't had any good food, though..he's gained 35 lbs since he went back after R&R. :-) I wonder if he'll still fit in his clothes?? haha.



I'll be starting school up full time and working full time from May-August which is around the time he comes home!





Matt was able to come home on R&R at the end of January and was able to say through February 3rd. :) We had a great time full of family, a small road trip, and just spending some much needed time together.

Our first anniversary was this past March (St. Patricks Day to be exact). Even though he couldn't be here, we opened gifts via webcam and this is what he sent me: Engraved dog tags and an engraved photo frame :) My husband is so thoughtful. (I'll post pictures later)

Easter was this past Sunday and I went with my mom Nanny's church to surprise her. After that, we went to Nanny's to enjoy lunch with everyone! It was great! I love my family, especially the little ones! :-)
