Just as I had expected, we had a great R and R with Matt. Watching Carson play with her daddy brings a warmth to my heart like nothing else can. It makes me smile.... really big. We were able to thankfully spend Christmas AND New Years together this year and it made everyone else very happy to see him, too. We went to the Georgia Aquarium, Build A Bear, shopping and just spend time together as our family of three and with our extended families. Our time, as always, was way too short but we'll be together again in about four short months! :)
We're hoping that we can be done with the deployments for a few years. Matt requested to be DA Selected for Recruiter so that he could be home for approximately 2/3 years. With that job will probably come longgg days, but I can deal with that over a deployment any day. We're also hoping to be closer to our families, but we'll see what the future has in store.. It's up to the Army more than anything. Either way, we'll be moving back to Colorado in just two months to get ready for Matt to come home!
Carson is growing up so fast. She says "ouch" when she falls down, will point to anything and everything that she wants or interests her and is obviously saying all the other things she has in the past. I love it when she blows kisses. It makes everyone around her smile. We're still doing Gymboree every week and go to Play Group with her little "friends". She's a very aggressive little girl... I swear she's got some kind of boy in her. She's wanting to bite and hit now.. so we're struggling with that at the present moment. While she's a VERY sweet little girl, she has her moments!! :)
